Summer. Is it nearly over?

Four children at home all day every day...  Is it time for school yet?  In fairness, Gene has been working most days since school got out (and working HARD).  Neil has worked about ten days and according to the local farmers, impressively tried to keep up with his (much) bigger brother.  Bay has kept up with her reading (as I have).  Gus and Neil started out really well with THEIR reading and writing but we've all fallen off the wagon lately.  I really want them to read because they love it.  I want them to "get it" the way I do, in terms of where books can take you.  (THEY, on the other hand know just where reading can take them and that is: aWAY from the xBox.)  Gus loves riding his bike and that's been his big thing this summer and I love that.  They can and DO eat me out of house and home.
